Operating Instructions
If you are operating in DOS, enter the PAS directory with the command CD PAS. In WINDOWS use the File Manager to enter the PAS directory. Type PAS and press [Enter] to load the PAS Shell or organizer. The PAS MAIN MENU should appear on the screen (see at the head of this page).
Press [1] to get to the UTILITIES MENU, then press [1] and [2] to see how the color and printer options can be switched on and off (color OFF may be preferable if you are planning to print screens with the [Print Scrn] key but otherwise it's usually better to view the programs in color).
Check the path specified on line 3. If it is not the path on which your PAS programs reside, then press [3] and enter the correct path; e.g., type C:\PAS\ and then press [Enter]. Return to the MAIN MENU by pressing [F9].
You can now browse through the PAS shell to get an overview of the programs in the PAS system. Pressing the appropriate number will move you between the various menus, F1 followed by the appropriate number will provide you with information on those program(s), F9 will return you to the previous menu, and Alt + X will exit you from PAS.
